RunGood points-getter extraordinaire Michael Johns is among the early risers at RunGood Caesars Southern Indiana. He experienced a rather short stay in Day 1b and opted not to reenter, but it hasn't been all bad for him — he won a side event earlier this week to scoop a RunGood ring and $21,384.

Welcome to Day 1cd of RunGood Grand Prix Caesars Southern Indiana $800 Main Event

RunGood Poker Series
RunGood Poker Series

Two starting flights are down, leaving two to go at RunGood Grand Prix Caesars Southern Indiana $800 Main Event.

The first two flights drew 114 entries, with 14 players earning their ways to Day 2 on Sunday, where they'll play for the growing prize pool and a glittering gold ring. That will mark the first RunGood championship one ever awarded at Caesars Southern Indiana, so someone will make history.

Each flight will play down to 12.5% of the field rounded down. Players begin with 30,000 in their stacks, and registration is open for the first eight levels in each flight. Unlimited reentry is available. After that preliminary round, level length kicks up from 30 minutes to 40 minutes.

The proliferation of side events slows from an abundance to a drip today, with only a couple of satellites on the schedule. With the focus entirely on the Main Event, the Grand Prix Main Event prize pool will grow substantially.

Day 1c begins at 11 a.m., with Day 1d following at 6 p.m. It will be a long day of live updates, and PokerNews will be on hand to provide them.
