Joseph Mussat

The second flight of the day drew out a total of 63 entrants to come play the $600 Main Event out here at Atlantis Casino in Reno, Nevada. As the dust settled at the day’s end, it was only a lucky 7 that saw themselves securing a piece of the $150,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Leading the way is RGPS ring winner Joseph Mussat who sits looking for his second RGPS ring and first main event title. With over $300k in lifetime earnings, the California grinder has made a name for himself on the circuits of poker tournaments over the course of 14 years. With his stack here, he looks to add another notch in his belt.

Mussat won’t be alone as he joins Jordan Cushman (281,000), Daniil Fedunov (167,000), and Mike Lancaster (144,000), into Day 2 from this flight. Each of them will be looking to move the comma over a couple of spots in their end of tournament cash.

It was not to be for players like Maggie Fox, Jeffrey Day, Carlotta Island, and former main event champion Stacey Berger. Each of them will have ample opportunity to play tomorrow in their quest to snag a bag for themselves.

Play ended with 29:38 left in Level 14, with blinds at 3,000/6,000 and a 6,000 big blind ante. This will be the flight that players return to on Day 2, unless another flight ends earlier than this.

Thank you for reading along here tonight. Be sure to check back in tomorrow with PokerNews to see who plays tomorrow’s flights.
