Brower Gets a Quintuple Up

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

John Roberts raised to 8,500 from under the gun, which was called by Eric Buchheit in the hijack, and a player in the cutoff. Then Josh Brower on the button raised all in for his stack of 9,500. He was called by the big blind Jason Aken, Roberts, Buchheit, and the cutoff.

The flop came 528 and Aken moved all in for his last 11,000, which Roberts called, but Buchheit and the cutoff folded, as the three remaining players turned the cards on their back.

Brower was in front with is pocket queens, and once the board ran out J on the turn and K on the river, Brower secured the rarely seen quintuple up.

Aken managed to stay in the tournament after taking the side pot, was but was eliminated shortly after.

Action folded to William Henricks in middle position who raised to 7,000, which was called by a player in the cutoff, and the small blind Yang Xu. The big blind then three-bet all in for her stack of 47,500, which got Henricks and the cutoff the quickly fold. Xu then thought over his decision for about a minute, before making the call to put the big blind at risk.

Xu had the bigger pocket pair, and once the board ran out JJQ89 he improved to a full house, nines full of jacks to take the pot and eliminate his opponent.
