Abhishek Singh
Abhishek Singh

Justin Williams raised to 3,000 from the button and faced an immediate re-raise from Abhishek Singh in the small blind. Williams called to see a flop.

The 542 flop led to a bet of 13,000 from Singh. Williams once again called to send them to a turn.

Singh bombed the turn when he put out a big stack of 5,000 chips which were more than enough to put Williams all in. Williams gave it a brief moment of thought before he pitched his cards into the muck as Singh took down the pot.

Gongola Prevails over Shapouri

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Venkata Gongola raised to 3,500 and was called by three players before Bijan Shapouri chose to clean house with a re-raise to 18,500 from the big blind. Gongola was the only taker, which sent Shapouri and Gongola to a flop heads-up.

Both players checked the 94Q flop.

The 2 turn resulted in a large bet of 43,000 from Shapouri. Gongola put out a stack of 5,000 chips, but it was not enough for a raise, so Gongola was held to a call as Shapouri had 19,400 behind as they went to the river.

Shapouri checked on the 6 river. Gongola went all in, and Shapouri quickly folded to award the pot to Gongola.

Dustin Iannotti

Lance Austin raised to 2,500 from middle position before Dustin Iannotti chose to re-raise to 8,500 from the hijack. Albert Tapia chose to call from the big blind, but Austin elected to put a pile of chips towards the middle, which was enough to cover Iannotti and Tapia. Iannotti was not going anywhere and made the call to put his tournament at risk. Tapia got out of the fray with a fold.

Dustin Iannotti: KKAll in
Lance Austin: QQ

Iannotti was in the advantageous position of having a better pocket pair, and his kings held on the runout of 6A10J6 to secure the double up through Austin.
