Hartigan is No More
Level 17
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
James Hartigan raised to 12,000 from the cutoff. Lian Liu responded from the small blind with an all-in. Hartigan quickly called to put Liu at risk.
Lian Liu: A♦5♣
James Hartigan: A♥K♠
Hartigan had Liu in deep trouble, but the flop had something else in store for Hartigan as it came out 9♣5♦J♦ to give Liu the lead after he hit his five.
The 6♣ turn and the 4♣ river completed the board to award Liu the double and leave Hartigan with a short stack.
Hartigan was unable to get back off the mat as he busted shortly after and was seen leaving the tournament area.
