Lerner Flops the Nuts For the First Bustout
Level 1
: Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Delilah Lerner raised to 700 under the gun and an opponent in the hijack three-bet to 2,000. Tarry Stanford called in the small blind, as did Lerner.
The flop came J♦10♦4♦ and the cutoff continued for 1,200. Stanford then moved all in for 6,900, and Lerner called. The cutoff got out of the way.
Tarry Stanford: 6♦5♦
Delilah Lerner: A♦8♦
Both players had flopped a flush, but Lerner showed down the nut flush. The 2♦ turn gave Stanford the chance for a straight flush, but he missed the 7♠ river and was sent to the rail as the first elimination of the tournament.
