Masters Folds the Best Hand as Safaya Takes Out Percal
Level 13
: Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Carl Masters raised to 15,000 on the button before Chris Safaya moved all in for 87,000 in the small blind. Alan Percal called for his last 17,000 in the big blind.
"I didn't open the button wide," Masters said as he considered the decision.
"That's not good," Safaya replied. Masters eventually turned over K♣10♣ and tossed it into the muck, leaving Safaya and Percal heads-up.
Alan Percal: 7♠4♦
Chris Safaya: J♣9♣
Safaya ended up with two pair on the K♥Q♠8♥9♠J♠ board, and Percal was sent to the rail.
Isaak Kraig was also eliminated at the other table.
