Hasani Cracks Kings to Double
Level 10
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Mitchell Morales raised to 4,000 in the hijack, Leart Hasani moved all in for 18,500 in the small blind, and Morales called.
Leart Hasani: A♠Q♣
Mitchell Morales: K♥K♠
Hasani had run right into Morales' kings and needed an ace to survive. The Q♠10♣10♦ flop gave him two pair, but Morales remained in the lead until Hasani spiked the A♣ on the turn. The river was the 5♦, and Hasani doubled up.
At the same time at another table, Paul Trianovsky got in his last 15,000 from the cutoff and was up against Taylor Howard in the small blind.
Paul Trianovsky: 9♣9♥
Taylor Howard: Q♦J♦
Howard hit trips on the J♠J♣8♥ flop to take the lead, and the rest of the board came 10♣10♦ to give him a full house and send Trianovsky to the rail.
