In a battle between the blinds, Mike Chesney bet 1,500 on a flop of K♠Q♣10♠ and his opponent called.
The turn was the 3♥ and Chesney bet another 3,800. His opponent again called, and the 7♣ fell on the river. Chesney then moved all in, and his opponent, with around 20,000 behind, quickly folded.
Jasper May was recently eliminated at this table but quickly fired another bullet.
A player in the cutoff raised to 1,000 and Wayne Reichenbach called in the small blind. The big blind then moved all in for 11,000 and the cutoff folded, but Reichenbach quickly called.

Reichenbach had his opponent dominated and at risk as the flop came 10♠9♥2♦. "Put a jack out there, make it interesting," the big blind said, and the 9♣ fell on the turn.
The jack finally arrived on the J♠ river, but it was too late to save the at-risk player as Reichenbach scored the knockout. "I said put the jack on the turn," the big blind joked on his way to the exit.

Three players checked to the turn on a board of 6♦A♣Q♥2♦ when the big blind then bet 3,000. Only Anthony Cissell called in early position.
The river was the A♥ and the big blind bet another 5,500. Cissell again called, and his opponent instantly tossed his cards away. Cissell turned over A♠3♠ for trips as he took in the pot.
Charles Edlin bet 5,000 from middle position on a flop of 10♥9♣8♣ and Mike Chilton moved all in for 15,500 on the button. "If you flopped a straight, you got it," Edlin told him as he quickly called.

Chilton had, in fact, flopped the nut straight to take the lead over Edlin's aces, and the board ran out 3♣5♥ to secure his double up.
With around 8,000 in the pot on a flop of 5♣7♥J♣, Jack Elliott bet 3,500 from middle positioin and Phillip Gambrell called in the hijack.
The turn was the A♥ and Elliott bet 7,000. Gambrell then moved all in for 15,000, and Elliott snap-called.
Gambrell showed K♠10♣ for a straight draw, while Elliott had A♦J♠ for two pair. The river was the 9♥, and Elliott took the pot to send Gambrell to the rail.
WSOP bracelet winner Ronnie Day has taken his seat on Day 1c and just got involved in a pot against an opponent on the button.
The button bet 1,200 on the 2♥J♣5♦ flop, and Day called in the small blind. Both players then checked the 9♦ turn.
Day led out for 700 on the 10♦ river, and his opponent called. Day showed K♣Q♣ for a rivered straight, and his opponent mucked.
Day is sitting at the same table as defending champion Jasper May.
William Ralston raised to 1,200 in middle position, Brian Cutsinger moved all in for 12,400 in the hijack, and Ralston called.

The board ran out Q♣5♣3♠4♠2♣, and Cutsinger began to get up from the table. "Hey, I have a straight," he finally noticed as he sat back down and raked in the double up.
"He didn't even know he won," another tablemate added.
