Barron Has a Fan

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Korey Barron raised to 16,000 on the button and Craig Welko called in the small blind.

Barron continued for 16,000 on the J♦8♥6♦ flop, and Welko called. Barron then bet 27,000 on the 6♣ turn, and Welko folded this time.

A spectator standing by the table then began cheering as Barron raked in the pot. "What are you rooting for him for?" Mike Hurley asked.

"He's my best friend," the railbird replied.

"That's pretty much the best answer you can have. He gave me a kidney," Keith Heine added.

Mitchell Semple bet 15,000 from the button on a flop of 4♣7♠6♦ and Matt Perlman called in the big blind.

Semple bet another 15,000 on the 5♣ turn, and Perlman again called. The river was the K♥ and Perlman moved all in for 100,000. Semple let out a loud groan and stood up from his seat before putting in the chips to call.

Perlman showed A♠3♦ for a straight, but Semple had 8♥7♥ for a higher straight to win the pot and send Perlman to the rail.

"What were you afraid of?" Kim Parrish asked him.
