Lupo Bets Bananas on the River

A player in the cutoff bet 3,600 on a flop of 4♥Q♣A♥ and Remo Lupo called in the big blind.

The turn was the 2♦. "Thirty-one hundred bananas," Lupo said as he led out for 3,100, and his opponent came back with a raise to 6,500. Lupo called, and the 8♣ fell on the river.

"Thirteen bananas," Lupo said, betting 1,300, and this time his opponent just called. "Two pair. Ship it," Lupo said, showing Q♠8♠ for queens and eights to win the pot.

Stoloff, Newman Chop Up an Opponent

Charles Newman bet 10,000 from the small blind on a board of 3♥7♦6♣Q♦ and Allison Stoloff called in the big blind. An opponent in early position then moved all in for 43,600, and Newman stood up from his seat to eye his opponent's stack before calling. Stoloff, though, then reshoved for 91,500, and Newman quickly called all in for less. "I have the nuts right now," Stoloff said.

Michael McGuinness bet 1,000 from the cutoff on a flop of K♦4♦5♦ and James Dezendorf raised to 6,000 on the button. An opponent under the gun called, while McGuinness got out of the way.

The turn was the 10♥ and Dezendorf bet 10,000. The under-the-gun player again called, and the A♠ fell on the river.

Dezendorf then bet 24,000, and his opponent flashed a king as he folded. "I folded a king, too," McGuinness said. Dezendorf showed the 3♥ as he took the pot.

In a limped pot, Remo Lupo bet 800 from under the gun on a flop of Q♥Q♠10♣ and Joseph Comisi called in the small blind.

The turn was the A♣ and Lupo bet 3,100. Comisi again called, and the 2♦ fell on the river. Lupo then bet 1,300, but this time Comisi came back with a raise to 6,500.

"What, do you have king-jack over there? I flopped a set," Lupo said before splashing in the chips to call. Comisi showed Q♣8♣ for trips, but Lupo had Q♦J♠ and took the pot with his jack-kicker.

"I should've moved in, but he's not going to call me," Lupo said.

The flop came 6♥4♣5♥ and Bohmerwald continued for 5,000. The small blind called to the 4♦ turn, where Bohmerwald bet another 13,000. His opponent again called.

The river was the 2♥ and the small blind moved all in for 25,000. Bohmerwald snap-called with A♠4♠ for trips, and his opponent tossed 8♣8♥ into the muck on his way to the exit.

Richard Cardona raised to 2,000 in the hijack and was called by an opponent in the cutoff. The button then three-bet to 8,500 and Cardona four-bet to 28,000. The cutoff got out of the way, but the button then moved all in and Cardona called for 44,400.

Cardona had his opponent crushed with aces, and the A♣J♥K♣ flop gave both players a set. Cardona remained in the lead, and the miracle one-outer didn't come for his opponent as the Q♣6♦ board earned Cardona the double up.
