Raad Doubles Through Allred
Level 10
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Alain Raad opened to 4,500 from early position before Scott Allred called on the button. Both blinds came along to create a four-handed pot.
The blinds checked to Raad on the 5♥6♦J♥ flop. Raad continued for 12,000, but Allred raised the price as he bumped it to 37,000.
The blinds folded before Raad went all-in for 63,500. Allred called to put Raad at risk.
Alain Raad: K♣K♦
Scott Allred: Q♦J♣
Raad was ahead with his overpair, and the turn cemented his lead as it came the K♠ to improve Raad to a set.
The inconsequential 8♦ river completed the board to award Raad the pot.
