Danon Shows Carillo the Early Exit
Ben Danon got the action started with an open from early position, but he met resistance from Nathan Carillo from the big blind when Carillo three-bet to 3,200. Danon four-bet to 7,600 in response, but Carillo was not to be outdone, and he five-bet to 16,500.
Danon made the call and sent them to a flop of A♣2♠Q♠. Carillo went all-in for 21,500 and was called by Ben Danon to go to a showdown with Carillo at risk.
Nathan Carillo: A♦K♣
Ben Danon: Q♥Q♦
Carillo hit his ace, but it was far behind the set of queens of Danon as they went to the final two cards.
The 10♦ introduced a sweat as Carillo could hit a jack for a straight to sink Danon.
Carillo's hopes of a suckout were not meant to be as the 10♠ came on the river to give Danon a full house.
