The first edition of the RunGood Summer Series continues today at The Lodge Card Club, where the final chances to chase the guaranteed $250,000 prize pool are on the schedule in the $600 Main Event.
The first three opening flights have attracted a total of 274 entries, with 34 players already earning a spot in the money. Those numbers are expected to grow significantly today, when action gets underway with Day 1d at 11:15 a.m. local time. That will be followed by the last flight at 5:15 p.m. as players look to secure a bag for Day 2.
The overall leaderboard through the first two days was topped by Jeffery Sowell, who collected almost 20 starting stacks to finish with 794,000 chips and the lead on Day 1a. Caleb Levesque followed that up on Day 1b, bagging up 715,000 as the top two hold a notable lead over the rest of the remaining field. Those are the benchmarks everyone will be chasing today, with two more shots to build a stack for the final day.

Today's field will include a quartet of RunGood Ambassadors, as they join the chase for the inaugural RGPS title in Austin. Ashley Frank, Torey Byrne, Pamela Maldonado and Brian Winter will all take their seats during the final two flights, looking to lock up a spot in the money alongside a pair of RGPS team members that are already through to the final day.
Matthew Lawrence used a late-night charge to bag one of the top stacks in Day 1b, while Kris Burchfield earned some down time after navigating his way into the money in the opening flight.
All three completed flights reached the money bubble during Level 15, which is the last 30-minute level in the event structure. Levels then extend to 40 minutes from that point forward, while Day 2 blinds begin at the point of the earliest flight finish.
Players joining the field today will do so with 40,000 starting chips, and both remaining flights will bag up the top 12% of each field to advance into the money. Blinds begin at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante, and participants are free to enter as many times as they like before late registration closes at the start of Level 9.
Players who cash more than once will earn a $1,500 bonus for each additional bag, with their largest stack carrying forward to Day 2. Opening flight structures include 15-minute breaks after every two levels of play.
As an added bonus this week, all players who reach the Main Event final table will have a chance to win a $2,000 RunGood in Aruba travel package live on The Lodge YouTube stream. The winner of the PLO high hand flip will secure a package to the inaugural RGPS Aruba stop, taking place September 17–23.
