Brady Boosts the Stack

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Mike Brady told PokerNews the details of a hand that bolstered his stack to 56,000 after a double up.

Brady opened to 3,200 from the hijack, the big blind three-bet to 11,300, and Brady four-bet shoved for 27,300. The big blind called, showing {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

Brady's ace-queen offsuit was ahead preflop, and a queen-high flop put Brady ahead for good.

Suresh Seals an Elimination

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The table featuring Tyson Apostol, Brian Fenzel, and Suganth Suresh continues to entertain, with some of the liveliest table talk among the five tables still in play on Day 1a.

The latest player to exit the Main Event wished everyone at the table good luck after getting shipped out of the tournament at the hands of Suresh. The short-stacked player's {9-Spades}{5-Hearts} tried to take a last stand against Suresh's {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

The flop brought out an interesting {k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{5-Spades}, with both players catching a piece of the board. Suresh's top pair held through the {6-Clubs} turn and {6-Spades} river, and Suresh is still holding steady with just around 80,000 chips.

Hunstman Hits the Top of the Chip Counts

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Anthony Hunstman appears to have the chip lead as the $575 Main Event approaches the end of Level 8.

Hunstman took down a massive pot in a hand that began with Huntsman opening to 2,500 from early position, and getting three callers.

Action checked to Hunstman on the {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, Hunstman bet 5,500, and only the player on his immediate right called.

Hunstman checked the {8-Spades} turn, his opponent bet 11,200, and Hunstman called.

Hunstman checked again on the {10-Diamonds} river, his opponent jammed for 11,200, and Hunstman called. Hunstman's {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} was the winner, with his opponent hitting the exit after turning over {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

The newly revamped RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) “All-Stars Comeback Tour Powered by PokerGO” season will be heading back out West in September for the first-ever appearance at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in the Sacramento area. PokerNews will be on-site to offer live updates from the $575 buy-in Main Event.

“We are excited about being a part of the Thunder Valley Casino Resort roster of special events. Seeing the tour grow to be successful in all parts of the country has been one confidence boost after another as we continue to get back on our feet,” said Hayley Hochstetler, VP of Media of RunGoodGear.com.

From September 22-26, the tour will travel up to Lincoln, California for an inaugural stop at the Thunder Valley Casino Resort Poker Room. The four-day event will feature three tournaments with a $575 buy-in, $200K GTD Golden Ticket Ring Event and $300 Last Chance KO event each awarding a seat to the All-Stars ProAm.

The room will be celebrating its own moniker opening day as the newly minted NorCal Card Kings will see its debut on t-shirts and hats to be handed out during the series. A $200,000 GTD prize pool headlines the Golden Ticket Ring Event making the stop not one to miss.

For those learning about the All-Stars ProAm event, it is a 64-player capped event in December streamed from inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Part of the field will qualify through the tour, while the remaining spots will be filled by invitees of PokerGO and RunGood that include poker professionals, industry personalities, and celebrities.
