Who Will Be the Spring Poker Main Event High Champion?

2023 SCOOP Main Event - High
2023 SCOOP Main Event - High

The 2023 edition of the iconic Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) from PokerStars is coming to a close with the Main Event games about to begin. As is the tradition with SCOOP events, there are actually three Main Events for the series with different buy-ins.

The deepest pockets will be playing SCOOP 108-H, the biggest version of the Main Event. The action for the Main kicks off at 12:30 pm ET and there are 15 levels of play scheduled for Day 1 action. There is $5 million guaranteed in the prize pool, and with 116 entries in the game a couple of hours before cards go in the air, there is still some distance to go before the guarantee is covered.

Once they complete 15 levels today, they'll put the virtual chips in virtual bags for the night to resume at 12:35 pm ET on May 29. There are three reentries available to players who lose their chips on the first day. Late entries are open throughout the opening day of play with players able to jump into the action as late as the start of Day 2 play on Monday.

As is unsurprising for a $10k, there are quite a few familiar names in the field already even before the action starts. There are two Red Spades on the players' list waiting for the game to begin, Sam "SamSquid" Grafton and Lex "L.Veldhuis" Veldhuis along with a host of other recognizable handles in the list.
