Simon Mattsson Takes All-Time SCOOP Titles Lead

Swedish superstar Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson captured his 12th Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) title on May 20, overtaking the legendary Benny "RunGodlike" Glaser at the top of the SCOOP titles leaderboard. Mattsson triumphed in SCOOP 58-H: $1,050 NLHE Turbo PKO, a result that earned him $28,207, including bounties.

This latest victory was Mattsson's third of the 2025 PokerStars SCOOP. At the beginning of the series, the Swede won the $5,200 Super Tuesday for $107,964, following that up with a win in the $530 PLO 6-Max Turbo PKO for $14,685.

Mattsson's latest win not only bolsters his bankroll but gives Team tonkaaaa a much needed points boost in the SCOOP League; we'll have an updated SCOOP League leaderboard for you shortly.

Mattsson Ties With Glaser in All-Time SCOOP Titles Leaderboard

Swedish superstar Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson is tied with Benny "RunGodlike" Glaser at the top of the all-time SCOOP leaderboard. Mattsson won his tenth SCOOP title last week, taking down the $5,200 Super Tuesday High Roller for $107,964. He now has two 2025 titles and 11 overall after coming out on top in SCOOP 33-H $530 PLO [6-Max, Turbo, Progressive KO, Single Re-Entry],$60K Gtd.

Mattsson navigated a field of 128 entrants, including a final table housing fellow SCOOP League competitors "FAL1st" and Blaz "Scarmak3r" Zerjav, the latter of whom fell in second place. The Swede not only added another SCOOP title to his resume and boosted his bankroll, but also earned some valuable points for the current SCOOP League's bottom team, Team tonkaaaa.

Mattsson Into Double Digits with Tenth SCOOP Title

Before last night, only three players had won double-digit SCOOP titles: Andre "Premove" Skvortsov, Calvin "cal42688" Anderson and Benny "RunGodlike" Glaser.

Now make it four, as Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson triumphed in SCOOP 16-H $5,200 Super Tuesday High Roller, taking home $107,964. He defeated a 77-player field that included plenty of online crushers to win his tenth SCOOP title,

This is also the third time Mattsson has won a Super Tuesday High Roller as part of the SCOOP schedule, with victories in 2022 and 2024.

Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson SCOOP Titles

Mattsson won his first SCOOP title in 2012 when he defeated a 373-player field to win $38,233 in SCOOP 34-M: $530 Limit Hold'em 6-Max.

Since then, he's won all of his SCOOP titles in No-Limit Hold'em, apart from a NLO8 title in 2021.

Fifth SCOOP Title for Gathy and First Double SCOOP Winner on Day 3

Day 3 of the 2025 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) delivered non-stop thrills as 22 champions emerged from the online arena, each etching their names into the festival’s history book.

Belgium’s own Michael "merla888" Gathy added yet another trophy to his collection, claiming his fifth SCOOP title but it was "sixsixxsix" who stole the show, becoming the first player of the series to win two titles in a single night.

Among the 22 winners, 14 players broke through for the first time, while others triumphantly returned to the SCOOP spotlight.

Two-time club members now include "JDigweed7", Yuri "tecaoo" Martins Gama, Vitor “vitoradiron” Adiron, and "devsdynamite", each adding a second title to their resumé. Meanwhile, "hello_totti" and Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii reached an elite milestone with their third career SCOOP victories.

After capturing his ninth SCOOP title and 20th COOP title overall on Monday, Patrick “pads1161” Leonard came close to going back-to-back in 2025. He finished runner-up in SCOOP 11-H: $1,050 NLHE PKO, earning $24,293. The title went to Andorra’s “PeroQmaloSoy”, who claimed their first-ever SCOOP win, banking $17,231 plus a hefty $27,176 in bounties.

Few things in life are guaranteed, but you can predict with almost 100% accuracy that Patrick "pads1161" Leonard will be in contention for SCOOP leaderboard honors each year. Leonard has got the 2025 SCOOP off to a blistering start by taking down SCOOP 13-H: $1,050 NLHE 7-Max Turbo PKO Daily Cooldown.

Leonard came out on top of a 140-strong field to bank a $31,947 top prize (including bounties) and his ninth SCOOP title. The popular Brit is now tied with fellow online poker legends Ole "wizowizo" Schemion, Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson, and Niklas "Lena900" Astedt regarding SCOOP victories, only one behind Andrey "Premove" Skvortsov and Calvin "cal42688" Anderson, and two short of Benny "RunGodlike" Glaser.

Through a sea of Brazilians, Fintan "easywithaces" Hand narrowly missed out on a podium spot on opening night, finishing fourth in SCOOP 07-L: $22 NLHE. The turbo mystery bounty tournament saw him bank nearly $3,700, including over $330 in bounties.

Winner "KingBrun0" defeated the only other non-Brazilian at the final table to bank almost $10,000 in prize money.
