Niklas Astedt
Niklas Astedt

A handful of Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) events, including the trio of No-Limit Hold'em Super Tuesday tournaments, played out their Day 1s on May 27. The largest of these, the $1,050 buy-in, saw its 268-strong crowd whittled to a more manageable 34, with a familiar name in second place.

Niklas "Lena900" Astedt is gunning for what will be his 11th SCOOP title. The Swedish superstar finished Day 1 with 1,746,630 chips and trails only "Phemo" in the race for a $51,155 payday.

Several elite-level grinders join Astedt and "Phemo" on Day 2, which resumes at 5:30 p.m. BST on May 28. They include Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois, Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph, Ilya "Leqenden" Anatsky, Audrius "Stakelis24", Stakelis, and Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi.

The other two Super Tuesday events also conclude on May 28. In the $55 buy-in edition, only 41 of the 3,145 starters remain in contention for a $22,704 top prize. Ireland's "Deucewilder22" is the player to catch, although they are only a big blind or two ahead of Malta's "GoJo_SaToRu89."

The $215 buy-in Super Tuesday is down to only 47 players from a field of 1,095. $35,188 awaits the eventual champion in this event. Malta's "Brelarsssssssss" leads the way from Brunno "botteonpoker" Botteon. "McEnroy24," who is third in chips in the $1,050 edition of this event, is also third here, while Robin "robinho" Ylitalo occupies fourth place. Brazil's Lucio "WizardOffAz" Lima rounds out the top five.

Renan Bruschi Wins Fourth Title of the 2025 SCOOP; Now on Six Victories

Renan Bruschi
Renan Bruschi

There has been plenty of talk about the hot form of Albania's "king153246" during the 2025 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP), and rightly so, because he has put up some mightily impressive results. However, Renan "Internett93o" Bruschi has also been running hotter than the sun, which, when combined with playing well, is a deadly combination.

Bruschi became a six-time SCOOP winner on May 27 after triumphing in SCOOP 97-H: $1,050 PLO8. Winning six SCOOP titles is an impressive feat in its own right, but Bruschi has captured four of those titles during the current series!

The Brazilian sensation won the $1,050 PLO at the start of the 2025 SCOOP and took home $26,752. He then won the $1,050 Razz for $18,823, and the $109 NLHE 8-Max Deep Stacks for $25,148 before turning his attention to the $1,050 PLO8. The latter ended in a four-way deal, with Bruschi's name at the top of the standings.

Maiden SCOOP Title for Alisson "heyalisson" Piekazewicz

Alisson Piekazewicz
Alisson Piekazewicz

Brazilian grinder Alisson "heyalisson" Piekazewicz can finally call himself a Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) champion after he came out on top in SCOOP 91-H: $1,050 NLHE PKO. A star-studded field of 180 entrants competed for a share of the $200,000 prize pool, with Piekazewicz taking home the largest prize, namely $42,957.

The entry list read like a who's who of the online poker world, as you'd expect from a high-stakes SCOOP event. A ridiculously stacked final table saw such luminaries as "aminolast," Ilya "Leqenden" Anatsky, and Vlad "dariepoker" Darie come and go, leaving Piekazewicz heads-up against Swedish legend Niklas "Lena900" Astedt.

Having captured his 10th SCOOP title a couple of days ago, Astedt was the favorite going into the heads-up clash. However, it was Piekazewicz who emerged victorious and with his hands on a $42,957 prize.

Team PokerStars' Marle "MarlzTV" Spragg reached the final table of SCOOP 89-M: $215 NLHE PKO Bounty Builder HR on May 27. Spragg found herself as the second-shortest stack with only ten players remaining, but a key hand went down that saw her double through Brazil's "danield7."

That timely double gave Spragg more breathing room; she called it a "huge momentum shift" while streaming. Unfortunately for Spragg and her legion of fans, it was not meant to be, and she bowed out in eighth place for a $3,988 addition to her bankroll.
