Daniel Campbell was lucky enough to have one player shove into him as he held {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} on a {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts} board for the nut flush.

That player had no more than a single seven and although he dreamed of his two pair to turning into a boat, dreams don't always come true. This one failed to materialize on the {5-Diamonds} river and Campbell raked in the chips.

Christy Willams is among those slowly building a contending stack as they day moves on.

She bet 2,000 into a pot of 2,600 on the river of a {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs} board. While her opponent contemplated calling and playing the straight on the board, he eventually thought better of it.

Williams showed the {j-Hearts} for the top end and raked in the chips.

Randy Lingenfelter had already busted one bullet today, but after firing a second, found himself all in for some 10,000 in chips on an {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop with four other players in the hand behind him and a 10,000 pot in front.

Each one took their time tanking and folding, prompting a bit of a celebration from Lingenfelter once they had.

"Yesss," he exclaimed, showing {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for the stone cold bluff to drag the pot and double up.

I Fought The Law

Toronto Canada's Tom Law made a big stack in the early levels on Day 1a, but couldn't hold on to it, busting before they bagged.

He's back again today trying to build a stack to take to Day 2 and although it's not exactly the hot start he enjoyed on Day 1a, he's found a way to double up his starting stack coming up on the mid point of the day.
