In a clash of Seneca Niagara titans featuring a classic showdown, Blake Napierala and Veerab Zakarian have swapped spots on the leaderboard.
Napierala got his 34,000 in with big slick versus Zakarian's jacks and spiked an ace to double through. Zakarian's the one under 40,000 now, as Napierala looks to right the wrongs of a late meltdown in the day's first flight.

Marc Bellis joins the leaders here in Level 9 after busting two players in one hand.
He raised under the gun with aces before two shorter stacks jammed in. Bellis called and it turned out they both had .
With all the aces already out, and two of the fives, Bellis ran smoothly to victory on a board of blanks to cross the 100,000-chip mark.

With the registration and re-entry period now officially closed, we can confirm this second of four flights for this event drew a total of 160 entries. Although a healthy percentage of those may have been Andy Spears re-entries. Seriously.
All kidding aside, the event has now drawn a total of 285 entries, leaving it under 100 entries short of matching the guarantee with another two flights still to come Saturday. This is quickly turning out to be one of those no-sweat guarantee sweats.
Play rolls on here in Level 9 with 77 remaining.

Mark Nowak had not one, but two players go all in before him. Both were holding two pair.
He had trips, called, held, and is now sitting on 120,000.
In the meantime, Matt Brunskole has been treading water on around 110,000, allowing Bob Mackyo to move into chip lead position here in Level 8.
Consequently, Level 8 is the last one before the close of the registration and re-entry period.

Two of the 18 players who bagged up chips in the early flight today are back at it again here tonight.
Although their motives may differ, both are taking advantage of the best stack forward rule, allowing players who bag in one flight to play again in another and carry their best stack forward.
For Hayden Glassman, the 45,000 he bagged in the first flight may not seem like enough to give him a real shot to compete Sunday. As a result, he's here trying to better that in flight two.
Carol Leonardi already has around 100,000 going into Sunday's Day 2, so her reasons for playing are a little different.
Leonardi has a passion for poker and is using the flight to work on her game.
Both have less than a starting stack heading into the 15-minute color up break at the end of this level, but no matter what happens, they'll be here come Day 2.
