We Got A Thing Goin'on

Level 6 : 250/500, 50 ante
Anne Jones
Anne Jones

2017 Western New York Poker Challenge third-place finisher Anne Jones just scored the double knockout.

She flopped a set of sevens on a ten-high board and simply called when a player with ace-king and another with nines went all in to her right.

Jones' set held, and as a result, she's got 70,000 now and a spot near the top of the counts headed into Level 7.

Bob Mackyo

Erie, PA's Bob Mackyo has moved up the counts after his straight was better than two others in a massive pot.

He's got 85,000 and is threatening for the lead. However, that lead is firmly in the hands of Matt Brunskole now.

Brunskole's closing in on 100,000 fast.

Mike Rellinger
Mike Rellinger

Mike "The Mayor" Rellinger came ready to fire tonight and was just seen ringing the re-entry bell for what will surely be the first of many times this evening.

Rellinger spent about an hour annoying everyone and dumping chips at his first table before eventually shoving fours for peanuts over a raise. The raiser had jacks and they held.

The table rejoiced when they saw Rellinger taking his new seat at a table across the room. Finally, some peace and quiet.

Maurice Sessum
Maurice Sessum

Maurice Sessum claims God gave him the 50,000 chips in his stack.

They also may have come from a player who shoved into his flopped set of sevens on the river, then mucked when Sessum called and showed him the goods. We're also relatively sure he bought 20,000 of them to start the flight.

Either way, Sessum is among the leaders now in Level 4.

Niagara Falls, Canada's Matt Brunskole, who has held the Day 1 chip lead in every Main Event here on this side of the border for the past year, is at it again tonight.

It's still quite early, but Brunskole has tripled his starting stack already following one big hand in this heat.

He got it all in three ways with queens versus nines and ace-king. Queens held and Brunskole is officially your level three chip boss.
