Badrudin Ampatuan faced a raise to 8,000 and bumped it up to 23,000 for Edilberto Gopez to call, which led them to the 8♣6♣3♦ flop. Gopez opted to check and Ampatuan then continued for 16,000 in order to win the pot without any further resistance.
On a three-way flop of 9♣6♥2♣, Sandeep Mirchandani check-raised all-in against two opponents and Joachim Chia was the shorter stack to forfeit his bet of 7,500. The move got through but moments later, Mirchandani looked up and saw his friend Sumay Mishra leave from the next table.
"Set over set," Mishra said as his chips were still being shipped over to Qi Xia. His pocket fours were crushed by 8♥8♦ on a board of 8♠5♥4♣2♠K♠ to end the run of the player from India.

Among those no longer with a shot at reaching the money were Royly Oracion and Czar Ian Marcos.
Ronn Mesina raised to 6,000 from under the gun and was called by Sumay Mishra in the cutoff as well as Paul Tirnovean in the big blind. On the 9♠6♥2♦ flop, the action checked to Mishra and he bet 12,000, earning a call from Tirnovean only.
Tirnovean then bet the 8♥ turn for 23,000 and the call by Mishra led them to the 4♥ on the river. Tirnovean now used a time bank and bet 56,000, which eventually forced out his opponent.
Jonard Arcilla raised to 9,000 and then called a big three-bet to 26,000 by Alexis Lim, which led them to the K♦9♥9♠ flop. Both players checked to the 10♥ turn on which Arcilla's bet of 29,000 was called by Lim after using one time bank.
Arcilla also bet the 2♣ river for 50,000 and Lim then pushed all-in for 76,500 to get quickly called. Lim flipped over the K♣K♠ for flopped kings full and Arcilla's Q♠J♠ for the turned straight was no good.
Just before another table was broken, Jhun Aballa was spotted on his way out and his shorter stack was moved over two spots to Joshua Figuerres. On a board of 8♠3♠2♦3♥8♣, the K♠K♦ of Figuerres had remained the best hand all the way to reduce the field further.
The new level started with several eliminations in quick succession and that also included the likes of Emmanuel Segismundo and Renniel Galvez.
Marvin Cerbito then bet a three-way flop of 9♣5♦2♠ for 8,000 and was called by John Clyde Tan as well as Maxwell Rosete. On the 8♠ turn, they both checked to Cerbito and called his shove for 16,500. Tan then bet the 4♥ river and Rosete folded.
Cerbito tabled his A♦A♣ and had a bad beat story to tell, because Tan's 6♦3♦ had improved to a straight.
