Frederick Dimaguya pushed all-in for around 17,000 and was called by Gerardo Lubas III in the next seat.
Frederick Dimaguya: Q♥Q♠
Gerardo Lubas III: A♦J♦
The A♥J♠2♥ flop instantly gave Lubas III the lead with two pair, which he retained throughout the 9♦ turn and 8♣ river.
Jeffrey Calonge raised to 2,500 and Anthony Gabitan called on the button. The 9♦8♥6♦ flop brought a bet of 3,100 by Calonge and a call from Gabitan before the same action repeated on the K♣ turn for 5,600. Both checked the 4♥ river and Gabitan's K♦10♣ won the pot.
Throughout a board of J♥5♠4♣3♥7♣, Jason Tan fired multiple bets including the shove on the river against Grael Won. The latter called albeit reluctantly and was shown the A♠K♠ for ace-high, which he had beat holding the Q♥Q♣.
Both stacks were counted and Won's 37,600 covered by one and a half big blinds.
The Day 1d field is slowly tumbling towards the end of the late registration period with more than one hour still available until the curtains close for the penultimate flight. Several players have already emerged with big stacks, however, that is no guarantee they will also make it all the way to the end.
Down to around 20,000 in chips, Ramdrick Aznar pushed all-in and Chi Yan Wong in the small blind declared "I call". Christopher Mateo in the big blind double-checked upon that before folding.
Ramdrick Aznar: 6♣6♠
Chi Yan Wong: 10♥10♦
The dominated pair found no help on the Q♦8♥7♦9♠J♣ runout and that spelled the end for Aznar for now.
Marlon Laxamana was all-in with a shorter stack holding the A♠J♦ and he had a tall task to overcome, as Javier Bris Becerril tabled the K♥K♠.
The board ran out 9♣5♣4♣6♥J♠ and one jack wasn't enough for Laxamana to survive.
The pace of new sign ups for the penultimate starting day has certainly slowed down and the tally currently stands at 188 entries of which 88 players remain. In the turbo heat 1e, one table remains in play with eight players out of 10 entries left.
