Tin Fook Takes From Nundloll

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

In a three-bet pot to the J76 flop with 33,000 in the middle, the action was on Gilbert Tin Fook. He opted to overbet for 40,000 and Dave Nundloll reluctantly folded to get shown the QQ. Both then talked a little back and forth but I couldn't tell what language it was, to be honest.

Break After Level 10

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The brief flurry of late entries brought the field up to 127 entries and they are now on a short ten-minute break, during which the very last of hopefuls can still enter. Once the cards go back in the air, the registration will close.

Singh Doubles Through Ng

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

During the two levels on the live stream table, no player had been eliminated but Sugen Singh dropped to a severe short stack. Matthew Whitelaw remained the biggest stack by a mile.

Singh was even at risk with A10 asgainst the 1010 of David Ng but escaped thanks to the AJ64J runout.

Late Night Shenanigans

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Lauren Piha had done a couple of shots on the rail prior and then jumped into the Main Event Day 1b near the end of the late registration period. She doubled off Huawei Sun with AJ versus A10 thanks to a board of Q4236 that had missed both players. Piha then doubled through Rajeev Poonhath as well.

In the meanwhile, several other players busted in rapid fashion.

An Unusual Split Pot

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

A short stack raised to 6,000 off 30,000 and Terry Brookes then reraised to massive 140,000 in the cutoff. Jehan Richards called all-in and Jonathan Woolley in the big blind tank-called for around 105,000. The initial raiser folded and later said he had pocket nines.

Jehan Richards: AQ All in
Jonathan Woolley: QQ All in
Terry Brookes: KK

The board ran out 76598 and they chopped it up with the straight on the board! Brookes had initially celebrated but was then happy not to have lost. He also added that he "didn't want any action" with his pocket kings and hence reraised so big,

The Legendary Tale of Poker Wizard 'Gambledore' | PokerNews Podcast #866

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

In the 866th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, sponsored by the free-to-play WSOP App, Chad Holloway, and Mike Holtz are joined by 2006 WSOP Player of the Year Jeff Madsen at Level 9 Studio.

Fresh off a third-place finish in the 2024 NAPT, Madsen fills in for Kyna England, who is actually in England right now.

Like the rest of the poker world, the trio is mesmerized by poker wizard 'Gambledore,' who is Estonia's Vladimir Korzinin. The 69-year-old bearded amateur took Triton Montenegro by storm and, within a month, has vaulted to the top of the Estonia all-time money list and etched his name in poker lore. This is his tale.

They then update you on the winner of High Stakes Duel 5 Round 2 between Jared Bleznick and Patrik Antonius. Chad goes behind the scenes of the Global Poker Table Talk event during Formula 1 featuring Antonio Esfandiari, Michael Phelps, Carlos Sainz, and Charles Leclerc. See video footage from inside the PokerGO Studio.

Similarly, Chad and Connor Richards attended theCelebrity Poker Tour (CPT) 2024 Championship and talked with Maria Ho, Sketch, Vegas Matt, and rapper Maxo Cream. You get to see what they had to say in this episode!

Woolley Doubles Through Richards

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jonathan Woolley
Jonathan Woolley

Jehan Richards defended the big blind against a raise by Jonathan Woolley and they created a pot of 11,000 to the K44 flop. That's when things got a bit dicey as Woolley ended up all-in and at risk.

Jonathan Woolley: KK All in
Jehan Richards: 74

The J turn and 7 river only gave Richards an inferior full house and Woolley doubled.
