Ronit Chamani raised first to act with the J♦10♦ and Ahmed Karrim three-bet one seat over with the A♦K♣ to 75,000. Rudolf Fourie in the big blind got his last 185,000 into the middle with J♣J♠ and Chamani folded, while Karrim called to create one of the most classic of flips.
The K♠10♠7♦ flop vaulted Karrim into the lead, the 10♣ turn and 8♦ river ended his run.
Cliton Taliwanth jammed the J♥6♠2♥9♠ turn for 235,000 into a loaded pot versus Giovanni Zanette and earned a reluctant call to show the 8♥8♦ for a pair of eights.
That was actually ahead as Zanette only had the A♠K♣ for two overs. The river was the 6♣ and Taliwanth dented Zanette's stack.
There hasn't been as much action on table 11 after the break and Harold Brooks was all-in once for 345,000 on the Q♠10♥8♣Q♥ turn to get it through.
Stefan Bittger defended his big blind against an open raise by Wessel Conradie and got the last 150,000 or so in after the 8♥5♥4♠ flop to get instantly called.
Stefan Bittger: 9♣8♣
Wessel Conradie: K♠K♥
The 5♦ turn took away some outs of Bittger and he failed to get there on the 3♦ river.
Ahmed Karrim opened the action with a raise to 30,000 and it folded to SM in the big blind, who pushed all-in for 370,000. Having previously doubled off Karrim, he was called and once more pipped by the kicker.
SM: A♦Q♠
Ahmed Karrim: A♥K♠
There was no shenanigans this time on the 9♣8♥5♠6♥10♦ runout and Karrim vaulted back to the stack he had when they moved to the live stream table.
Richard Barnard open-jammed for his last 140,000 and he was called by Diane Walker out of the small blind.
Richard Barnard: A♣J♦
Diane Walker: J♣J♥
The Q♠9♦4♠ flop and 8♦ turn left Barnard with some hope for another possible split pot, but the 5♣ on the river ended his run in 33rd place.
After an elimination on the live stream table, the next all-in and call unfolded on the outer tables.
Adrian Andritz was all-in preflop with 5♦5♥ and up against the J♥J♣ of Giovanni Zanette on the button.
There was no help on the A♠Q♦7♥2♠7♣ runout and one of the most dangerous players in the fields busted, while an equally big threat for everyone else chipped up.
Joey Weissman raised to 30,000 and Diane Walker called, as did Gareth Fourie. Richard Barnard got his last 75,000 into the middle and Weissman then reraised to 130,000. Walker folded, but Fourie stuck around to the 4♥4♣3♣ flop.
Weissman opted to check and he folded when Fourie bet 300,000.
Richard Barnard: A♠6♦
Gareth Fourie: A♦Q♠
The 3♦ turn and 4♠ river gave both players the identically strong hand and Barnard chipped up with a split pot.
Ronit Chamani jammed the button for 215,000 with the A♥K♠ and Ahmed Karrim called in the small blind with A♣9♥.
The superior ace came out on top of the A♠J♣3♣8♥2♦ and Chamani caught another short stack double.
