Circu Eliminates Gwin Set-Over-Set
Level 2
: Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Daniel Circu from under the gun and Skye Gwin from middle position saw a flop of 9♥8♥5♦ with a little over 3,500 in the middle preflop.
Circu had check-raised a bet from Gwin, who responded by moving all in for his 30,500 stack, and Circu snapped it off as the covering player.
Skye Gwin: 8♠8♦
Daniel Circu: 9♠9♦
It was a brutal cooler set-over-over with Circu the beneficiary. Gwin could not find the one-outer or running chop on the 4♣6♥ runout, leaving Circu's top set best for a brutal elimination in the early proceedings.
