Official Statement from Talking Stick Regarding Structure Adjustment
There were some minor inconsistencies in the tournament structure between Day 1a and Day 1b, and the officials at the Talking Stick Resort have issued the following statement in acknowledgement of the error:
------------------
"Talking Stick Resort values our poker community and feel it is important to share and update you on the following information.
During Day 1B of the Arizona State Poker Championship, we became aware that a level had inadvertently been skipped during Day 1A.
By the time the discrepancy was identified, Day 1B had progressed to a point where it was no longer possible to make an adjustment without creating additional inconsistencies between the four starting flights.
In the spirit of transparency and in keeping with our Enterprise Core Values, we want to make our players and the poker community aware of what occurred.
We are currently working with our IT department and Bravo to investigate the cause and determine how the level was skipped. We are also reviewing our processes to help prevent a similar issue from occurring in the future.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused. We appreciate the understanding of our players and remain committed to providing a fair, consistent, and professionally operated tournament experience."
