Steimer Scoops a Big One

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Theo Steimer
Theo Steimer

There were 10,000 chips in the middle on a board of A38, and Ernat Muric checked from the small blind. Claudio Piceci did the same from the big blind and Jakob Leitgeb followed suit from early position. Theo Steimer was next to act and put a bet out of 3,500. Muric made the call before Piceci check-raised to 10,500 chips.

This got Leitgeb out of the hand, however, Steimer stuck around. Muric folded as well, after some thought, and the two remaining players went heads up to the turn.

The J fell and Piceci instantly put his opponent's stack of 7,400 in the middle. Steimer made the call just as quick and their hands were revealed.

Theo Steimer: A10
Claudio Piceci: 83

Piceci had flopped two pair with his big blind special and had Steimer on the ropes. However, the 10 rivered Steimer the superior two pair, much to the dismay of Pececi.

Some heated words were exchanged in German between the three involved players, but Steimer could not care less as he stacked the chips in the end.

Schneider Last to Win Pot Pre-Dinner

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

"83-83" raised to 2,600 from early position and Monika Kissling Leitgeb called from the hijack. Heinz Schneider then defended his big blind before the trio checked through the flop of QQ10

Schneider then took the postflop betting lead when he made it 2,600 on the 6 turn. "83-83" made the call, while Leitgeb got out of the way.

The 10 river rolled off and Schneider did not give up, instead betting another 6,500. This time, "83-83" folded and the table stood up to take their dinner break.

"Seven-Deuce, Never Lose"

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Maurizio Nobili
Maurizio Nobili

"H1z die Locke" limped in from under the gun, and Maurizio Nobili and "Fischer" followed suit from the button and the small blind respectively. Peter Camponovo then checked the big blind and the players went four-way to a flop.

On AA6, "Fischer" checked to Camponovo, who led out for 1,000. "H1z die Locke" called, as did Nobili, while "Fischer" got out of the way.

The J turn then checked around before the 3 river completed the board. Camponovo checked and "H1z die Locke" put out a bet of 2,000. Nobili then raised to 5,200 and Camponovo mucked his cards. "H1z die Locke" put in the extra chips, only to get shown the 72 for the turned flush.

"Seven-Deuce, Never Lose!", Nobili enthusiastically exclaimed while he raked in the pot.

"Omaha4Rollz" on a Roll

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Giuseppe Ditaranto has made a reentry and opened to 2,000 from early position. The player nicknamed "Omaha4Rollz", not to be confused with Laszlo Bujtas who goes by the same nickname, put in a three-bet to 6,300 and Ditaranto called.

The flop of 10QA was checked by both players, as was the 4 turn. When the K river completed the board, Ditaranto checked for a third time, but "Omaha4Rollz" made a huge bet of 16,400 instead.

Ditaranto snap called, but mucked his cards once his opponent showed JJ for the rivered straight.

"Omaha4Rollz" looks to be the chip leader in the room, playing three and a half times starting stack currently.

Wolfinger Doubles Up, Leaves Steimer Short

Kathrin Wolfinger
Kathrin Wolfinger

A completed board of A92210 was dealt on the table and Kathrin Wolfinger went all-in for 15,000 chips from the big blind. The pot was around 16,000 and Theo Steimer was in the middle position weighing his options.

Eventually, he made the call and mucked his cards when Wolfinger tabled A7 for two pair.

"My first pot!", exclaimed Wolfinger happily. Meanwhile Steimer was left with a meager stack of a little over twelve big blinds.

"Leon 17" Folds a Straight Flush

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Gyoergy Olah raised to 1,800 from under the gun and the player that goes by "83-83" made the call from the next seat over. Big blind Jakob Leitgeb also joined the party by defending, and the trio saw a flop of 456.

Leitgeb checked and Olah made a continuation-bet of 3,000, which got called in both spots. The 2 turn made the board that much more straight flushy and it made the action check to "83-83". They bet 6,000 and that was enough to seize the pot, as both his opponents folded.

"Leon 17" immediately claimed that he folded 73 preflop, which would have been good for a six-card straight flush.
