It took around 50 minutes for the first all-in showdowns and two players were subsequently eliminated. The first one to go was Stephen Kurland who bowed out against none other than Tanith Rothman. On a draw-heavy board of K♣Q♣8♦J♦6♣, Rothman flopped the top two pair with K♥Q♥ and Kurland's K♦J♣ for inferior two pair on the turn went down in flames.

Kurland re-entered and drew the very same seat right next to Rothman.
