Thompson Doubles Through Liu

Gary Thompson raised to 8,000 in early position and Jun Liu three-bet to 22,000 in the hijack. The action was back on Thompson who four-bet shoved all in for 112,500. Liu asked for a count and then made the call.

Thompson held the preflop edge and the flop of A86 left it that way. The J on the turn was clean and so was the 2 on the river as Thompson scored a double up to close in on a starting stack once again.

On the river of a 96239 board, Mauricio Salazar Sanchez bet 16,000 out of the big blind. Yunkyu Song called and then tossed out chips to pay off his opponent when he couldn't beat the K3 of Salazar Sanchez.

One hand later, Christian Harder raised to 8,500 and then folded when Song three-bet to 26,000.

Three players were still alive in the hand after the flop of A62 with nearly 100,000 chips in the pot already. The 9 came on the turn and Yang Wang checked from the small blind. Yilu Yuan made a bet of 55,000 from the big blind and Ami Barer called on the button while Wang got out of the way.

The river was the 8 and Yuan counted out another bet of 80,000 this time. Barer used one of his time banks but eventually made the decision to lay his hand down.

Song Bests Chang Again

Nevan Chang raised to 8,000 in the hijack and Stephen Song just called on the button. They went heads-up to a flop of KQ4 where Chang led out with nearly a pot-sized bet of 20,000. Song called and the A landed on the turn.

Chang checked this time and Song stuck in a bet of 45,000. Chang thought for a moment and then dispatched his cards to the muck.

"Just like last night," Chang mentioned as the two players became familiar with each other on the same table of the Circuit Main Event in recent days.

Cai Doubles Through Su

Yuzhu Wang raised to 8,500 from under the gun and Weijue Cai tossed in a T-25,000 chip on the button. What followed was a huge shove by Duo Su for 424,000, which had both of his opponents covered comfortably. Wang folded and Cai used a time bank before he called.

The superior pocket pair was cracked on the Q109610 board and Cai doubled for 116,000.

The action started with a raise by Yinan Zhou and Lei Yu then pushed all-in for 101,500 in the next seat. Bin Wang moved all-in over the top and Zhou snapped that off within a fraction of a second when the action was on him.

Jiawei Lu just joined the field after the break and wasted little time getting involved in the action with a raise to 9,000 in the hijack. Minh Quang Nguyen three-bet to 22,000 in the cutoff and Lu just called.

The flop came J87 and Lu check-called a bet of 20,000 from Nguyen. The turn was the 10 and Lu checked again. Nguyen tossed in a bet of 30,000 this time and Lu finally released his cards.
