Break Time

Level 6 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The field has been continuously growing throughout the day with players starting to head to the registration at a more frequent pace. Those players are now going on another 15-minute break.

Big Hands Lead to a Big Pot

Level 6 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

There was a raise to 6,000 and Yuzhu Wang just called from the small blind. Christopher Park reraised to 28,500 in the big blind and only Wang called. The flop came Q103 and Wang check-called a bet of 16,000 from Park.

The turn was the 9 and both players checked to the 6 on the river. Wang checked once more and Park used a time bank before dropping in a huge bet of 200,000. Wang instantly leaned back in his chair and threw in his one and only time bank remaining.

As the clock was ticking down, Wang threw in a chip to call and Park turned over KK for an overpaid. Wang was left with JJ and was forced to pay off his opponent.

Thompson Bombs the River

Level 6 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A completed board of Q9566 was spread across the felt with around 40,000 chips in the middle. Gary Thompson and Sean Ooi were left heads-up in the pot from the blinds and Thomson was first to act, sliding in an overbet of 87,000 and leaving himself with a single 500 chip behind.

Ooi asked for a count before his clock started and then proceeded to use time bank after time bank, for nearly three minutes. Ooi eventually threw his cards in the muck and Thompson was awarded the pot.
