Raffaele Sorrentino raised it up from the cutoff and Kaihua Liu shoved all in for 535,000 in the small blind. The action was back on Sorrentino who snap-called to put Liu at risk.

In dramatic fashion, the dealer fanned the flop of A♦K♣10♣ to give Liu two pair but Sorrentino had a set of kings. Liu was looking for one of the remaining two aces in the deck but the 8♠ and 7♠ could not help him survive the stone bubble of the Main Event.

They checked all the way to the 10♠4♠2♦4♥6♣ river on which WSOP Short Deck gold bracelet winner Nielsen pushed all-in with the covering stack. Liu glanced over to him for a split second and folded.

On the feature table, two players got all of their chips in the middle unexpectedly in what turned out to be the largest pot of the tournament thus far. Quan Zhou was the player at risk for 1,930,000 and was up against Jiaming Zhao who was sitting on the big stack, having four-bet jammed himself.

The entire room had murmer when the two hands were announced and the rest players around the table looked shocked at how big the pot was. The board ran out J♠9♦8♣6♣9♥ and Zhou held on for a massive double up on the money bubble.

The dealers were instructed to finish their current hand and go into hand-for-hand mode two away from the money because all tables had been stalling despite the shot clock in play.

It was then that Yinan Zhou raised to 200,000 from under the gun and left 105,000 behind from under the gun on the feature table. Junbo Qu three-bet to 450,000 in the cutoff and Zhou reluctantly called all-in.

The Q♠9♦6♥10♦Q♣ board delivered only one ten and that spelled the end for Zhou, while Qu briefly celebrated. Hand-for-hand mode now commences with two minutes taken off the clock for every hand completed.

The action continues to slow down significantly with many of the remaining players in urgent need of stretching their legs more thoroughly.

Huawei Lin raised to 100,000 from under the gun and Boxin Jin called in the big blind. Both checked the K♥Q♦5♥ flop and Lin bet the Q♥ turn for 75,000, Lin called. After the 7♦ river, the staring contest ended with two checks and Lin won the pot with ace-queen.

Just before the end of the level, Istvan Birizdo raised to 100,000 and the newly arrived Xin Tong for her last 160,000 in from the next seat to see Birizdo instantly call once the action was back on him.
