Adam Lamphere raised to 4,000 from early position and Steve Anderson made the call from middle position. The flop was

Mike Dolehanty raised an opponent all in and was called by Bruce Kipfer. Their opponent already had 10,100 in the middle but it would cost him all of his chips to call as Dolehanty had him covered. Eventually, he made the call and turned over 
, only to see that he was dominated by the 
of Kipfer.
More bad news came on the 
flop, as Dolehanty also flopped a set with his pocket jacks. The 
completed the board and Kipfer tripled up with Dolehanty taking the side pot and eliminating their opponent.
We didn't catch the hand, but Nick Guagenti was seen exiting the tournament area. After the day's registration closed, Guagenti was overheard mentioning that he won't have to use the maximum six bullets to try to find his way to day two.
One wasn't quite enough today, but we expect to see Guagenti back here on Day 1c to give it at least one more shot.

We caught the heads-up action between the blinds after a flop of

The player under the gun raised to 2,500 and Steve Anderson called from right behind. A player from middle position also called, as did both of the players in the blinds. The flop was 
and it was checked to Anderson who bet 2,000. Anderson was called and the small blind raised to 7,200 when action came back to him.
Anderson made the call and everyone else got out of the way. The 
came on the turn and Anderson snap-called his opponent's all-in shove. Anderson turned over 
for the nuts but needed to fade some outs to his opponent's 
. The river secured it for Anderson and he is now nicely stacked .
