Rogers raised to 1,000 preflop and got three callers. The flop was {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} and the action checked to Rogers. He bet and all the players folded giving him the pot and an easy 3,000 to add to his stack.

Sutton Can't Knock Morstead Out

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

The flop was {k-}{k-}{9-} and David Sutton was heads up with John Morstead when Morstead went all in for his last 11,000.

Sutton quickly called and the two players showed their hands. Both players had {a-}{k-}.

"Again!" said Sutton, "that's two times in a row."

Sutton said the two players had already been all in once with the same hand preflop. That time it was {k-}{q-}.

"I was sure I had you this time," said Sutton.

Morstead and Sutton laughed about it while the dealer split the pot.

Hershberger Hanging Around

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Bert Hershberger called a preflop raise and a flop bet before checking it down to add 2,000 to his stack.

There was a preflop raise to 700 and two players called, including Hershberger from the small blind. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Hershberger checked to the raiser. He bet 1,600 and Richard Alsup folded the button. Hershberger called and was heads up to the turn.

The turn came {5-Hearts} and both players checked. Both players checked again on the river and Hershberger showed a pair of threes {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. His opponent reluctantly mucked, he seemed slightly upset at losing to the pocket threes of Hershberger.
