More Updated Chip Counts

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Kachel Collecting Chips

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

In a recent hand, action folded to Bill Kachel, who earlier this year won a Fall Poker Classic event here at Canterbury Park, and he opted to limp. Loki Abboud did the same from the small blind and then Mark Sandness checked his option from the big to make it three-way action to the {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Spades} flop.

Abboud checked, Sandness bet 2,500, and Kachel popped it to 7,500. That did the trick as both his opponents folded.

It wasn't a huge hand but it did give us a good excuse to update you on their stacks.

Some Updated Chip Counts

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

McDonald Rivers Broadway

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action on the table folded around to Jacob McDonald who limped in from the hijack and Jason Monarch raised to 2,500 from the cutoff. Action was on the big blind player who called and McDonald tagged along to see the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop.

Monarch fired out a 2,000 continuation bet after the action was checked to him and was called by McDonald after the big blind player mucked his hand.

The {7-Spades} came on the turn and McDonald check-called Monarch's 2,000 bet to see the {k-Hearts} fall on the river.

McDonald lead out for 5,000 and Monarch quickly called only to see McDonald table {j-Spades}{10-Clubs} for broadway.

Sailor Gets Paid with Tens-Full

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Brad Sailor
Brad Sailor

The player under the gun limped in and Brad Sailor raised to 3,300 sitting directly to his left. Action on the table folded around to Luke Vrabel who called on the button along with Jacob McDonald from the small blind, Jason Monarch from the big and the under-the-gun player came along to see a {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop.

Action was checked to Sailor who continued for 5,500 and he was called by Monarch along with the under-the-gun player.

The {q-Clubs} came on the turn and was checked to Sailor who fired out 14,500. Monarch mucked his hand while the under-the-gun player called to see the board pair on the river with the {q-Hearts}.

Sailor's opponent check-called his 15,000 bet only to see Sailor rivered the boat holding {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

Temple Does the Fishhook Squeeze

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Everett Carlton opened for 2,400 under the gun and the next player to act three-bet to 6,000.

Gerald Cunniff flatted from middle position and when action reached poker reporter Brandon Temple in the small blind he four-bet jammed for 29,300 total.

Carlton released, as did both the three-bettor and Cunniff. Temple then flashed pocket jacks before pulling in the pot.

Temple Spikes River to Stay Alive

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Brandon Temple
Brandon Temple

The under-the-gun player opened for 2,500 and sitting to his left was PokerNews's Brandon Temple who three-bet to 11,100 leaving himself with just 2,000 behind. Action folded around to the small blind player who four-bet all in and was called by Temple after the under-the-gun player folded.

Brandon Temple: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Temple was ahead with his made hand of tens and nothing changed after the {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop.

The turn however, fell the {q-Spades} leaving Temple drawing to two-outs at best with one card left to come.

Luckily for Temple, the dealer answered his prayer and dropped the {10-Clubs} on the river to give him the much needed double.
