Kapoor Breaks the Bank

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jason Kapoor
Jason Kapoor

Action folded to Mitchell Bank in the small blind and he jammed his short stack in the middle. Jason Kapoor was in the big and looked him up.

Mitchell Bank: {9-Spades}{4-Spades}
Jason Kapoor: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

"Live cards," Bank said optimistically. He did manage to pair his nine on the {a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop but it was no good as Kapoor also paired his ace.

Neither the {q-Clubs} turn nor {5-Diamonds} river helped Bank and he bowed out in 85th place.

Melasi Dominates Kirby

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jason Melasi
Jason Melasi

Matt Kirby had his last 140,000 chips in the middle and was up against Jason Melasi. Kirby learned that he was dominated when both players showed their hands.

Jason Melasi: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Matt Kirby: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop was no good for Kirby as it gave him one less out. It was all over on the {2-Clubs} turn card. The meaningless {2-Diamonds} fell on the river and Kirby made his way to the payout desk.

Carey Doubles Through Poll Aces Over Kings

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

After a player opened for 26,000 and Demian Poll three-bet to 130,000 next to act, Irene Carey four-bet jammed for 237,000 from the big blind. The original raiser folded and Poll quickly called.

Demian Poll: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Irene Carey: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

It was a cooler and Poll was on the bad end of it. A king appeared in the window on the {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{k-Hearts} flop but it was followed by an ace to give both players a set.

Neither the {j-Diamonds} turn nor {5-Clubs} river were the case king and Carey shipped the double.

Classic Flip for Alot of Chips

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Mark Uminn
Mark Uminn

Mark Uminn got his healthy stack of 322,000 all in preflop and was at risk against Ryan Hoffman, who had him covered by around 80,000.

Mark Uminn: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Ryan Hoffman: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

It was a classic flip and Uminn was just looking to hold to stay alive. Fortunately for him, and to the dismay of Hoffman, that's what he did after the board ran out {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Deverney's King's Send Mogilnicki Home in 113th Place

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Robert Deverney
Robert Deverney

Edward Mogilnicki and Robert Deverney both got their stacks into the middle preflop. Mogilnicki started the hand with 70,000 and was at risk.

Edward Mogilnicki: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Robert Deverney: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Mogilnicki was still behind after the {7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop. The turn was paint but it was the {j-Spades}. The {8-Hearts} completed the board and Mogilnicki was eliminated from the feild.
