Glycenfer Chipping Up

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Ian Glycenfer
Ian Glycenfer

Action was heads up with over 10,000 in the middle on a flop of {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and an under-the-gun player check-called a bet of 6,000 from Ian Glycenfer, who was on her direct left.

"What are you doing?" asked the under-the-gun player as the turn came {2-Spades}. She checked

"I'm trying to get you off the hand but it's not working," responded Glycenfer as he checked behind. The river fell {q-Clubs}.

"Go ahead," said the under-the-gun player as she checked again. Glycenfer fired out 18,800 and the under-the-gun player folded, showing {7-Clubs} face up as she accused Glycenfer of hitting a queen on the river.

"Can't you at least show me I'm right?" asked Glycenfer's opponent. Glycenfer's body language said he was good all along and he knew it.

"I did have a queen," he added as he raked in the pot to take him up to about 123,500 in chips early in Level 11.

Zipprich Gets a Double

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Stephen Zipprich was in the big blind and got his stack of 23,000 into the middle before the flop in a heads-up situation against the small blind.

Stephen Zipprich: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Small Blind: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Zipprich found himself out in front and pulled further ahead as the flop came {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. He picked up a sweat on the turn {9-Diamonds}, giving his opponent three outs at a gutshot straight. However, the river {2-Spades} came clean and he earned the double

Zipprich Goes Greenstein To Double

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Stephen Zipprich
Stephen Zipprich

Patrick Suzuki opened the action with a raise to 7,000 in early position and action folded around to the player on the button who asked to see Suzuki's stack before throwing in chips to call. Stephen Zipprich was next to act in the small blind and announced he was all in for what totaled to be exactly 50,000.

Suzuki quickly folded and the player on the button thought for close to a minute before making the call for nearly all of his chips and the two were off to the races.

Stephen Zipprich: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Zipprich wasn't upset to see he was in a coin flip situation but neither the flop {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} nor the turn {4-Spades} were of any help to him, leaving him with just one chance left at staying alive in the tournament. Luckily for him, the river {a-Clubs} was exactly what he needed and he scored the double, bringing him over six figures in the process.

Novotny Showers Suzuki

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Patrick Suzuki
Patrick Suzuki

Patrick Suzuki saw action folded to him in the small blind and announced he was all in for his last 28,500. Karen Novotny was in the big blind and took a couple of seconds before calling.

Patrick Suzuki: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Karen Novotny: {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Suzuki's odds turned from great to poor as the flop dropped {q-Hearts}{a-Spades}{4-Clubs}. The turn {j-Diamonds} fell behind it, giving Suzuki three more outs to a counterfeit for a chop. Unfortunately for him, the river {9-Spades} was of no avail and proved to be the final card of his tournament life.

"That one stings," he said as he stood up from his chair in disbelief of the runout before making his way from the tournament area.

Gonzales Predicts His Own Fate

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Danny Gonzales had opened under the gun and seen the players on the button and in the small blind commit chips before Richard Seale three-bet all in from the big blind.

"Rebuy!" said Gonzales, slamming down a small stack of chips to signify a call. The two remaining players in the hand folded and the two were off to the races.

Danny Gonzales: jsjh]
Richard Seale: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

An ace came on the window and Gonzales was out of his chair and five steps toward the rebuy desk by the time the runout {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs} finished; meanwhile, Seale now finds himself with 166,000 and is one of the larger stacks in the room with Level 12 soon coming to a close.

Gonzales Back in Action Before Last Break of the Day

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Danny Gonzales

The tournament is on its final 15-minute break of the evening. This is the last chance to register for this flight.

"That's all my f****g money," said Danny Gonzales as he walked away from the table with the tournament going on break. He had gone all in and was called just moments after rebuying from his previous elimination.

Danny Gonzales: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Gonzales had two live cards but they disappeared after the flop came {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades}, leaving him with just four immediate outs at a gutshot to Broadway. The turn {q-Spades} gave him two more outs at trips, but his first draw would be the one to fill up as the river fell {j-Diamonds}.

"Straight!" said Gonzales with a fist bump to a nearby spectator before leaving the tournament area as a pile of chips were pushed to his seat and left unstacked.

Martinez Piles the River

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Elenna Martinez

The cutoff opened to 6,000 and was called by both Elenna Martinez, who was on the button as well as the player in the big blind. The three players saw the flop come {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and the big blind checked. The cutoff made a continuation-bet of 10,000 and received two calls.

The turn came {a-Spades} and the big blind checked again. The cutoff fired a second barrel of 15,000 and Martinez called. The big blind folded, taking action heads up to the river {7-Hearts} where the cutoff checked.

"All in," said Martinez, pushing forward a stack to go along with the announcement. The cutoff thought for a few seconds and then let his hand go, resulting in Martinez taking down the pot without showdown to bring her north of six figures.
