Rosenberg Shows One

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Bobby Sanoubane was in early position and raised to 1,800 over an early-position limper. Mark Rosenberg called from middle position and action folded around to Patrick Suzuki, who defended his big blind. The limper called as well and the four saw the flop come {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Action folded to Sanoubane and he made a continuation-bet of 4,000.

"I'm all in," exclaimed Rosenberg. Action folded back to Sanoubane and he pondered his decision for a bit before looking up to Rosenberg, who cracked a smile and a little laugh, "I'll probably show either way," he said.

Sanoubane thought for another 40 seconds or so and then announced a fold: "I'll show you one," said Rosenberg as he threw {a-Hearts} onto the felt.

"I had one of those!" said Sanoubane, showing {a-Diamonds}. "What do you think was behind it?" he added.

"An ace!" shot back Rosenberg confidently. Sanoubane threw his cards down onto the muck without showing and Rosenberg collected his chips.

Von Guttenberg Takes One Down

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

There was over 25,000 in the middle on the turn with three-way action between Jose Lopez, who was under the gun, a player in middle position, and Eric von Guttenberg in the hijack.

Action checked to von Guttenberg on a board reading {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and he put out a bet of 9,400. Lopez thought for a few moments and then put in chips to call, prompting a quick fold from the hijack.

Action was then heads up for the river {9-Diamonds} and both players checked to take the hand to showdown.

Lopez showed {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} upon checking back and von Guttenberg tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} to take down the pot with two pair, aces and fives.

Fisher Makes the Right Call

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Thomas Fisher
Thomas Fisher

There was over 7,000 in a heads-up pot on a flop of {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and Thomas Fisher bet 3,300 from the big blind. His opponent was on the button and announced an all-in raise, pushing forward his stack of around 23,000 as he did so.

Fisher thought for close to a minute and then made the call.

All-In Player: {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Thomas Fisher: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Fisher had called correctly with his top pair and needed to fade the remaining hearts in the deck to win the pot. The turn {a-Spades} and river {5-Clubs} were both safe on his end and he scored the knockout to bring his stack up to just shy of 70,000.

Eddy Konarske
Eddy Konarske

Eddy Konarske raised it up to 1,200 under the gun and was three-bet by the hijack to 4,000. The small blind cold-called and Konarske called as well to take action three ways to the flop {9-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. The small blind checked to Konarske and he put out a bet of 2,200, to which the hijack folded.

Action was back on the small blind and he went into the tank for about 45 seconds before calling, bringing the turn {5-Hearts}. The small blind checked again and Konarske bet 5,100. His opponent folded and he took down the pot, bringing him up to 57,000 before the first break of the day.
