Craig's Turn To Double With Queens

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Benjamin Craig
Benjamin Craig

Benjamin Craig was in the big blind and saw a middle-position raise to 2,000 and a hijack three-bet to 5,000 in front of him. Craig cold-called and the original raiser came along as well, taking postflop action three ways.

The dealer fanned a flop of {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and action checked to the three-bettor in the hijack, who made a continuation-bet of 15,000. Craig thought for a bit and then check-shoved. The player in middle position folded and then the hijack called.

Benjamin Craig: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Hijack: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Craig's queens were out in front and remained there as the turn {4-Spades} and river {7-Clubs} completed the runout to earn him the double.

The Ladies Love Kyle Anderson

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Kyle Anderson
Kyle Anderson

A player raised to 1,600 under the gun and saw four calls as action made its way around the table to Kyle anderson in the big blind. Anderson three-bet shoved for 8,400 and received an isolation re-shove from the original under-the-gun raiser that folded all remaining players out of the pot.

Kyle Anderson: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Under the Gun: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}

"Ladies!" said a player at the table. Anderson's queens remained best as the board ran out [7h57d8s3c], avoiding the backdoor gutshot straight draw to earn what was nearly a full triple after all was said and done.

Ahmed Doubles Through Little

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Sultan Ahmed
Sultan Ahmed

Sultan Ahmed had gotten all in against Timothy Little and was in the process of collecting a double with his hand of {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} displayed on a board of {2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Tablemate Nikhil Gera confirmed that Little had {a-}{q-} and the two got stacks in on a queen-high flop, with Ahmed hitting the much-needed three outer on the turn and holding to stay alive.

Sarkisyan Over 200K

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Grigor Sarkisyan
Grigor Sarkisyan

There was at least 8,000 in the middle with heads-up action on a board reading {q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. Grigor Sarkisyan bet 6,000 in the small blind and sent his opponent in the hijack into the tank. About 45 seconds went by before the player called.

The river fell {j-Hearts} and Sarkisyan reached for chips again. He cut out two stacks of 1,000-chips, each four tall, and slid them forward onto the felt. His opponent went deeper into the tank this time, thinking for two full minutes.

Eventually, the player picked up his cards and flashed {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} before sending them face-up across the felt to the muck. One of the two cards landed directly on the five community cards and shot across the table right to Sarkisyan, who calmly picked it up and tossed it forward to the muck. He then pulled back his bet and exchanged his own two cards for the pot, bringing his stack up to 218,000 in the process.

Phan Heating Up After Dinner

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Ryan Phan
Ryan Phan

Ryan Phan's table was just seen breaking from the salon with all players headed to new seats inside the primary tournament area of the poker room. His stack had begun to resemble a cityscape, and he was in the process of breaking it down to transport it to his new seat, needing two racks to do so.

Phan has increased his stack to 158,000 since returning from the dinner break, making him one of the largest stacks in the room with around three-and-a-half levels of play left in the night. Less fortunate was David Lee, who was also at Phan's table and was not present when the table broke.
