Little Gets a Little Help

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Five players went to a flop of {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} with over 7,000 in the middle from preflop action. First to act was under the gun, who checked to Timothy Little in middle position. Little bet 3,500 and the hijack raised to 7,500. Both Nikhil Gera in the cutoff and the player on the button folded, as did the under-the-gun player, and then Little slid forward a stack of chips. The raise was more than enough to put the hijack all in and he quickly obliged.

Hijack: {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Timothy Little: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Little's kings were behind his opponent's flopped top two pair and the player was poised for a double. The turn {2-Diamonds} came on board, and the river {4-Spades} quickly appeared right afterward, counterfeiting the hijack's two pair as Little's kings up earned him the pot and the knockout.

Kolness Gets Crafty

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Tyler Kolness
Tyler Kolness

Action folded around to the small blind, who completed and saw Tyler Kolness check his option in the big blind. The players saw the flop come {6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and both players checked.

The turn came {6-Clubs} and the small blind bet 600. Kolness called and the river fell {8-Spades}. The small blind bet another 1,000 and Kolness pumped it up to 6,000. The small blind went into the tank for a while and then dropped one off-denomination chip onto his bet to signify a call.

Kolness turned over {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a full house, which the dealer announced. The small blind mucked and the pot was shipped to Kolness.

Garosshen Gets His Seat

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Kevin Garosshen
Kevin Garosshen

Kevin Garosshen was overheard conversing with a member of the floor staff shortly before the prior break was coming to an end about how he had arrived early this morning and still received an alternate assignment.

Fast forward to Level 5 and his number has just been called: he was just seen taking a fresh stack and a seat card to his table assignment within the room. With blinds of 200/400 and a big-blind ante of 400, a starting stack is still good for 75 big blinds with plenty of room to play.

Lee Back from the Dead

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
David Lee
David Lee

David Lee had been down to 2,500 before finding his way back to 8,600 going into the big blind. An under-the-gun limp and middle-position raise to 1,300 put action onto Lee, and he three-bet jammed for 8,200. The under-the-gun limper overcalled and the middle-position raiser put out 8,200 as well, and then the two players proceeded to check through a board of {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

David Lee: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Under the Gun: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Middle Position: (mucked)

Just like that, Lee found himself nearing a starting stack after being on life support just moments prior.

Wong Makes Java Pay

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante
Eric Wong
Eric Wong

Action was heads up between Nipun Java in the small blind and Eric Wong, who was in middle position. Java had checked and was facing a bet of 11,000 that was in front of Wong on a board of {3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Java was in the tank, and remained there for close to two minutes before finding a call.

Wong showed {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} for quads. Java sent his cards to the muck and then threw his calling chips closer to the center of the table for the dealer to scoop them up and send them to Wong.

"Nice hand," added Java.
