Marc Harrell opened for 3,000 from early position and was called by Jon Hanner from middle position, along with the button.

The flop came , Harrell continued for 4,500 and only the button called to see the pair the board on the turn.

Harrell check-called the 8,000 bet from his opponent and the completed the board on the river.

Harrell led out for 16,000 and his opponent released their hand after some careful though in the tank.

While PokerNews is here offering live updates for the $1,100 Main Event, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about some of the side events that have taken place out over the past week for the Showdown Series here at Running Aces Casino.

In Event #4: $250 NLH Seniors (50+), 168 runners created a $33,600 prize pool that was paid out to the top 18 players.

Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were George Stanford (10th - $638), Dennis Stevermer (12th - $638), Bob Van Syckle (14th - $538), Dan Hendrickson (16th - $440), and Wayne Sonnetag (18th - $470).

In the end, it was Michael Winter who collected every chip in play to capture the MSPT Trophy, along with a $5,107 payday.

There was heads-up action between David Gonia from under the gun and Blake Anderson from the big blind with a completed board showing.

With roughly 15,000 already in the middle, Anderson led out for 6,000 and then called the 22,000 raise from Gonia.

Gonia quickly revealed for the nut flush and collected the pot after Anderson mucked his hand.
