The {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Spades} board was checked to the {5-Diamonds} river where Reichard led out for 7,500 and Kessel released her hand.

Reichard quickly showed {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the king-high flush and it was good as his opponent stood up tossing {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} into the muck.

While PokerNews is here offering live updates for the $1,100 Main Event, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about some of the side events that have taken place out over the past week for the Showdown Series here at Running Aces Casino.

In Event #4: $250 NLH Seniors (50+), 168 runners created a $33,600 prize pool that was paid out to the top 18 players.

Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were George Stanford (10th - $638), Dennis Stevermer (12th - $638), Bob Van Syckle (14th - $538), Dan Hendrickson (16th - $440), and Wayne Sonnetag (18th - $470).

In the end, it was Michael Winter who collected every chip in play to capture the MSPT Trophy, along with a $5,107 payday.

Justin Barnum called from middle position as did one other and the {5-Diamonds} fell on the turn.

The player from early position check-called the 11,000 bet from Barnum while the other folded, and the {q-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

Barnum's opponent moved all-in for 7,000 and was called. Barnum's opponent rolled over {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} for top two-pair but it was no good, as the river gave Barnum a straight flush {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and he eliminated his opponent from the tournament.
