Hardik Vyas
Hardik Vyas

Raj Kola open-jammed for a little over 7,000 from middle position and action folded to Hardik Vyas who looked him up from the small blind.

Raj Kola: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Hardik Vyas: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Kolas was behind needing some help, but none came on the {8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} runout and he made his exit from the tournament field.

Faverau Drops Opponent

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Dan Favreau
Dan Favreau

Bob Van Syckle opened for 1,100 from early position and found two callers which included Dan Favreau from the button before Jonathan Kim three-bet to 4,300 from the big blind.

All three players called bringing action four-ways to a {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop.

Action was checked to the cutoff player who moved all-in for 14,700 and only Favreau called.

Opponent: {10-Spades}{8-Spades}
Dan Favreau: {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Both players made a pair after the flop, but Favreau's was better and neither the {3-Clubs} turn nor the {6-Clubs} river changed a thing as he eliminated his opponent from the tournament.

Steve Wazwaz Calls Correctly

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

There was heads-up action between Steve Wazwaz from under the gun and Cort Nordstrand from middle position with a {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board showing.

With roughly 3,500 already in the middle, Wazwaz check-called a 2,700 bet from Nordstrand and the {q-Clubs} completed the board on the river.

Wazwaz check-called Nordstrand once again, this time for 4,800, and the two players tabled their hands.

Nordstrand showed {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a pair of threes but it was no good as Wazwaz showed {a-Hearts}{4-Spades} to win the pot with a pair of fours.

Grimes Collects with Cowboys; Vyas Rebuys

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
James Grimes
James Grimes

James Grimes opened for 1,200 from early position and action folded to Hardik Vyas who three-bet to 5,100 from the big blind.

Action was back on Grimes who four-bet jammed and Vyas called off his 25k starting stack.

Hardik Vyas: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
James Grimes: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Vyas was trailing the pocket kings of Grimes and the {4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop didn't change a thing.

The {2-Diamonds} turn did give Vyas a wheel draw but the {10-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and he made his to the rebuy desk.
