Ellis Turns Jacks Up

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Chris Ellis
Chris Ellis

A large pile of 100-chips was in the middle on {4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} with four-way action ensuing. Both blinds checked and Chris Ellis bet 1,400 in early position. The player on the button folded, as did the small blind, and then the big blind called to take action heads up to the turn {j-Clubs}. The small blind then check-called another 1,400 from Ellis, and then action went check-check through the river {6-Clubs} to take the hand to showdown.

Ellis tabled {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} upon checking back, showing jacks and sevens to earn a muck from his opponent.

"Nice hand," the player added as the pot was sent to Ellis.

Wedekin Flops the Joint

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

There was 9,000 in the middle from preflop action and Andrew Peragallo threw out a bet of 5,000 from the small blind on {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Sven Wedekin jammed in the hijack for 2,500 more and Peragallo called.

Sven Wedekin: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Andrew Peragallo: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Wedekin had flopped the nuts and only needed to fade running full house outs. The turn {q-Spades} locked up the double for him, with the river {k-Hearts} completing the runout to make the hand official.

Hemschik Goes Set-Over-Set for the Double

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Rob Hemschik
Rob Hemschik

Rob Hemschik limped under the gun and saw another player limp behind in middle position before Salim Wahdan opened to 800 in the hijack. Both limpers called.

The flop came {4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and action checked to Wahdan, who continuation-bet 1,600. Hemschik called and the playear in middle position folded.

Action was then heads up to the turn {a-Spades}, where Hemschik checked again. Wahdan fired a second barrel of 2,100 and Hemschik announced a check-raise to 4,500. Wahdan immediately three-bet jammed and Hemschik called all in for 11,400.

Rob Hemschik: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Salim Wahdan: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

"Nice hand," said Wahdan, seeing the cooler he had just been dealt. The case four did not come on the river {7-Clubs} and Hemschik scored the double as a result.

Meyer Makes Trip Sixes

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante
Caleb Meyer
Caleb Meyer

Six players committed 300 apiece preflop before the dealer brought {4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades} on board. Action checked to Caleb Meyer in middle position and he bet 1,500, receiving just one call from the small blind when it got back to him.

Both players checked the turn {6-Clubs} and the river came {5-Spades}. The small blind checked again and Meyer postured for about 10 seconds before tossing out 2,000 onto the felt. His opponent thought for about the same amount of time and then dropped a chip forward to signify he had called.

Meyer tabled {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}: "Is that a six?" asked his opponent from across the room. The dealer nodded affirmatively and the player sent his cards to the muck.
