Carroll Eliminated in Nasty Cooler

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
James Carroll
James Carroll

James Carroll was pushing all in for around 100,000 and being snap-called when he arrived to the table. The board read {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, and Carroll, from the button, turned up {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a boat. His opponent in the big blind, Brian Heeb, had {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} for kings full, however.

"Sick," said Heeb with a shake of the head.

The dealer counted out Heeb's stack and it was about 108,000, barely covering Carroll. The champ of the last MSPT event here at Venetian has been sent packing.

Dimitrov Lucky to Survive

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

It looked like a middle player opened to 2,500 and got one call before Veselin Dimitrov shoved all in from the big blind for 30,000. The middle player jammed over that and chased the small blind out.

Dimitrov: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Dimitrov got up to exit but the flop came {9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. The {10-Hearts} turn gave him some cards to sweat but the {10-Spades} river improved him to a winning full house.

Moore Bluffs Off

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Sean Moore bet 6,800 from an early position after the big blind checked to him on {q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. That player called and the river was the {2-Spades}. The big blind checked again and Moore shoved. He covered his opponent's 13,000 or so. That player went deep into the tank for several minutes before calling off.

Moore tabled {6-}{6-} and his opponent showed {q-}{6-}.
