Bjorkman Cracks Aces

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

One player was all in for what sounded like 6,100 already, and Chad Bjorkman got about 13K more in, only to run into the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} of a third player. Bjorkman held {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and the shortest-stacked player turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, so it was a dreamy spot for the aces.

Unfortunately for the player with the blades, the {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs} runout gave Bjorkman top two, so he scooped all the money.

Bartelme Misses Big Draw

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Henry Liang opened under the gun for 1,300 and Missy Bartelme made it 3,100 on the button. Liang called, and the flop brought {9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Liang checked, Bartelme bet 3,600 and Liang made it 8,300. Bartelme called, bringing the {a-Spades}. Liang slowed down with a check. Bartelme shoved for 14,200 and Liang snap-called with {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for a set.

Bartelme had a big draw with {10-Spades}{8-Spades} but improved only to a worthless pair on the {8-Hearts} river.

Aaron Massey Finds a Friendly River

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Three players put in about 1,100 on a {6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop. On the {10-Diamonds} turn, the small blind led out 2,400 and Aaron Massey in middle position was the only caller. The small blind bet 3,700 more on the {k-Diamonds} river and Massey flicked a chip in right away.

The small blind showed {a-}{10-} but Massey had {k-}{10-}.

Bennett's Near-Shove Goes Through

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

A player in late position opened for 1,100, a player on the button called, and Jon Bennet stuck in 15,400 from the big blind, leaving dust behind. The other players folded, the opener taking much more time to think than the flatter.
