After three full days of poker, all Day 1's of the Mid-Stakes Poker Tour $1,600 Venetian Main Event have come to an end.

Fittingly, the Day 1 finale produced our current tournament chip leader — none other than Peter Braglia of Las Vegas, who bagged a commanding 846,000 by the day's end.

Day 1c drew a massive 1,032 entry field that dwindled to fewer than 200 by the time play ended. When combined with the entries from Day 1a and Day 1b, the total number of entries came in at 2,011, which in turn generated a $2,865,675 prize pool.

A total of 207 players will make the money, with a min-cash being worth $3,725 and the eventual winner taking home $412,086.

Notables who bagged into Day 2 include Ryan Laplante (408,000), Nadya Magnus (263,000), Kathy Liebert (253,000), Matt Stout (83,000), Ryan Franklin (260,000), and Chris Moorman (160,000).

Some others who tried, but won't be joining us on Day 2 today include Matt Affleck, Ryan Riess, Jared Jaffee, Maria Konnikova, and Ari Engel.

Day 2 will begin tomorrow at 11 a.m. local time, although players are encouraged to come a bit early to allow time to unbag their chips.

Stay tuned to PokerNews as we race toward the money bubble and continue to bring you the action from the MSPT $1,600 Venetian Main Event!
