Widman Survives, Macdonald Doesn't

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Andrew Macdonald moved all in for 86,000 and Kelvin Foster made the call. Ronald Widman also joined in calling all in for 50,000 total. The cards were turned over:

Macdonald: {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Foster: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Widman: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The flop was a great one for Widman as it came {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. The turn was the {7-Spades} and the river was the {7-Diamonds} and Widman tripled up to 175,000 while Foster took the side pot eliminating Macdonald in the process.

Mann Gets Kings at the Right Time

Nick Mann

It was folded to Gregg Fund in the small blind who moved all in. Nick Mann looked down at his two cards and quickly called. He had {K-Clubs}{K-Spades} and was well ahead of Fund and his {Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

The board ran out {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Mann doubled up to 385,000 in chips and cut Fund's stack in half as he had 185,000 after the loss.

Foster Starts With the Worst and Ends With the Best

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Kelvin Foster

We didn't catch the pre-flop action but got to the table with three players all in and Ronald Widman the biggest of the three stacks in great shape to deliver a double knock out with {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. His two opponents were Alexi Hernandez who had {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} and Kelvin Foster with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

All was looking good for Widman after a {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop but the turn card was the {4-Diamonds} giving Foster a flush draw. That was precisely what would come on the river in the form of the {10-Diamonds} and Foster scooped the massive pot eliminating Hernandez in the process.

Swanson Continues To Accumulate

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Chris Swanson opened to 30,000 and Jeff Blessing moved all in and was quickly called by Swanson when action was back on him. Blessing held {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} but was behind the {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} that Swanson held.

The board ran out {J-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Blessing was eliminated. Swanson moved north of 800,000 in chips with the win.

Metajan the Latest Elimination

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The tournament is down to 38 players and Jeff Metajan was the most recent elimination in 39th place when he flopped a pair of aces with {A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} on a {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} flop and was facing Ian Zeaman's bottom two pair as he had {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. The turn and river did not improve Metajan's hand and he was eliminated.
