A player in early position opened the action to 5,000 and Danny Lobato made it 15,000 to go. It was folded back to the original raiser who made the call.
The flop came and both players checked. The turn was the and Lobato's opponent led out for 20,000. A quick call was made by Lobato.
The river was the and Lobato's foe instantly moved all in. "Need a count," said Labato quietly and the dealer proceeded to break down the various stacks of his opponent. The amount was for 53,800 and after a few moments of consideration, Labato quietly said "call" and turned over . It was a good call as his opponent held for a busted flush draw with two overs that never got there.
"Helluva call," said a player at Labato's table as he became the first player out of all four starting flights to hit the 300,000 chip mark.

A player in early position opened to 3,300 and one to his left Cindy Beltran made it 13,000 to go. It was folded to a player in late position who moved all in for approximately 30,000. The original raiser folded and Beltran was quick to call.
"That's not good for me," said the all in player who was at risk. He turned over and was correct in his thinking as Beltran held . The board ran out to give Beltran the pot and eliminate her opponent. Beltran had 142,300 after the hand.

Sitting with 168,500 and the biggest stack in the room at the moment is local Danny Lobato. He'd battled valiantly earlier today before having ace-king lose a race to pocket threes and decided to give it another shot tonight. Lobato took 16th at the PPC Tampa Downs Winter Fest event earlier this year for $918.

Alex Outhred is a well-known and respected poker instructor whose background includes being an instructor for both the World Poker Tour Boot Camp and World Series of Poker Academey Poker Camps. Not only does he know how to teach the game, he can play it as well as evidenced by two deep runs he's had in the WSOP Main Event. In 2008, he took 54th place out of 6,844 in the Main Event for $135,100 and just last week he finished 140th for $52,141 in the 2014 Main Event.
Outhred recently signed on with the PPC as one of their Team Pro's and is bringing poker learning to PPC stops with his "sat-enlight" training where he will gather a group of players for a single table satellite and discuss the play after each hand with the players at the table. The program has proven to work like a charm as well - three of the players in one of the instructional satellites the other day all went on to win seats into the $200,000 Guaranteed Main Event.
While observing Outhred in his most recent "sat-enlight" he went over bet sizing and aggression and pointed out to a player how making a different bet could have led to a more profitable result. "I want to do this at as many of the stops as I can," said Outhred. "But I also want to get more of the PPC Team Pros to teach these. Give them an idea of how to run these and incorporate their thought processes when teaching."
Just another thing that makes the PPC stand out from other poker tours.
