Fast Takes from Ivey

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Over on the feature table Dietrich Fast opened to 9,000 in the cutoff with the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Phil Ivey three-bet on the button to 35,000 with the {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. Fast called to see a flop of {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Ivey made it 40,000 to go and Fast check-called, the {9-Diamonds} turn and the {5-Spades} river was then checked down and Fast scooped the pot with his set of tens.

Sass Jams Up Stack

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Mikhail Smirnov was eliminated and Orpen Kisacikoglu saw Patrik Antonius chip up at his expense. The next bigger pot on their table saw a four-way flop of {J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Paul Phua had bet 15,000 in the cutoff. Kisacikoglu folded in the big blind and Alan Sass jammed from under the gun.

Julian Thomas asked for a count on the jam, which was for 98,500, and folded. Phua gave it some more thought and folded as well.

Yong Doubles Through Smirnov

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Mikhail Smirnov faced a raise to 9,000 by Steffen Sontheimer and a three-bet to 24,000 by Wai Kin Yong. The Russian four-bet all in to fold out Sontheimer and Yong instantly called for his last 133,000.

Wai Kin Yong: {K-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Mikhail Smirnov: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The board came {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and Smirnov was left with just four big blinds.

One Hand on Bullet Number Two for Aldemir

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Koray Aldemir
Koray Aldemir

Xuan Tan made it 9,000 to go first to act and Koray Aldemir, who had just re-entered, called. Dominik Nitsche came along from the small blind and Chan Wai Leong three-bet to 44,500 in the big blind. Tan called and Aldemir moved all in for the starting stack minus the ante.

That forced out Nitsche, while Leong moved all in over the top, which also got rid of Tan.

Koray Aldemir: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Chan Wai Leong: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The same two players had clashed before the break with Aldemir losing a flip with ace-king versus queens, and he would do so again on a blank board of {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to join the rail for a second time.

Double for Aldemir

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Xuan Tan opened the action with a raise to 6,500 from the button and Koray Aldermir jammed from the small bind for 58,200. Tan made the call and the cards were turned over.

Koray Aldemir: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Xuan Tan: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades} to see Aldemir climb to 122,400, while Tan dropped some to 316,000.

Last Break of the Night

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The field size has increased to 36 entries thanks to the re-entries of Jason Koon and Peter Jetten, the latter in fact received the very same seat he had previously busted from.

Once the level came to an end, the remaining players were sent into a 15-minute break in which the black T,100 chips will be raced off.

O'Dwyer Flips Well Against Jetten

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Peter Jetten - Steve O'Dwyer
Peter Jetten - Steve O'Dwyer

A preflop raising war saw Peter Jetten all in and at risk out of the small blind with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and Steve O'Dwyer held the superior stack and the {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}. While the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop improved Jetten to top two pair, the {4-Spades} turn and {9-Spades} river gave O'Dwyer a four-card flush and Jetten was eliminated.

Tan Gets Arnaud

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Over on the feature table a short-stacked Romain Arnaud raiseed to 34,000 from the hi-jack and big blind Xuan Tan made the call to put the Frenchman at-risk.

Romain Arnaud: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Xuan Tan: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The {8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}flop was a good one for Arnaud’s jacks and the {4-Spades}turn kept him in front until calamity came in with the {k-Clubs} river and Arnaud hits the rail while Tan climbed to 375100.
